Why I LOVE APPLE!

There are so many reasons why almost 2 years ago I decided to invest moving the studio over from a windows based computer systems to apple, but what happened today tops the list. Just under 2 years ago I bought a iMac as tester to see how I would like using the Mac operating system. Since then we have upgraded and this first iMac has become a computer that is rarely used and if you have been in the studio it is the computer that controls our TV in the front.

Anyway, I have been upgrading our OS to the new Leopard and while installing it on this old iMac something went wrong and the entire computer just wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. I took it into the Apple Store and I worked with one guy for nearly 3 hours to fix it. I am pretty smart when it comes to computers and I pretty much knew what needed to be done to fix it and just nothing was working. We even zeroed out the hard drive and tried to start completely over and it just would not work. Again, 3 hours into it we pretty much gave up and I was preparing myself to buy a new one. Figuring out my options the guy that was helping me ran into the back and came out with a brand new silver iMac. Jokingly I said, sweet your are just going to trade me out. I knew that I was a year out of my warranty and there was know way that he was going to do it. But get this, he said "YUP, You have been super patient over the past 3 hours and I have seen how many computers you have bought from us and I am just going to take care of you." So seriously, he traded out my 2 year old iMac for a BRAND NEW iMAC!!!!

That is customer service and I am a Apple customer for life.

Vacation!

After 11 amazing months of photographing over 200 sessions and just over 80 weddings we finally are taking a much needed vacation. The studio is closed for the rest of the week while we all spend time with our families over the holiday.
My family has been planning this trip for just over a year and I can't believe that we are finally here. We hopped a flight to California and we are planning on spending the next 3 days at Disney Land! Today we started out by visiting Manhattan Beach and one of my favorite stores. The Sketchers flagship store! Yes I do have a bit of a shoe fetish. Either way, here are a few shots from my point and shoot.

Baby Gambel

Last night I went to one of my favorite clients house and photographed their brand new baby boy! Seriously, this little guy is tiny. Just over 4 pounds. We plan on doing multiple sessions this year to capture his first year so keep an eye out for more shots Gambel.

These two are so great! I had a seriously good time shooting their engagements. I have been feeling like crap most of the day, but when Scott and Amy showed up I started feeling better. Jace & Jenna

I am SO far behind on blogging its sad. Seriously, I have about 20-30 sessions that need to be blogged, but Im not sure if I am going to be able to get to all of them. I did find a great shoot with Jace and Jenna that I would love to share. We shot Jace's sister Shea a little while back and I am so excited that we get to see their family again. We got lucky and found a spot that still had amazing color and a ton of leaves left. This was a week or so ago and all of the color is now pretty much gone. The Bee Movie

Today the fam went to see one of the best animated movies I have seen. The Bee Movie! IT was funny for both kids and adults and unlike most animated movies the middle was not boring. I actually saw a trailer for this movie around a year ago that absolutely made me want to take my family to the movies. Check out how funny this trailer is.

Brock & Casey - 11.02.2007

I love these guys! We had so much fun shooting around the temple with the bridal party and the bride and groom. It was a spectacular day, the sky was super blue and it was just barely chilly. Check out the slideshow of images at the temple.

Brent & Lisa

A couple of days ago I shot Brent and Lisa's engagements and they came out amazing! These two are getting married at the Newport Beach Temple in Decemeber and its going to be so much fun! I knew that these shots were so much fun and Lisa sent me a great email this morning that I thought I would post up.
