Wedding in NYC

One of the things we went to NYC for was to shoot a wedding with one of my very good friends David Salomone The wedding was incredible and we seriously went all over the place. The weddings on the east coast are a bit different and much more elaborate then they are here, but I still love the weddings here in Utah. Good times! Check out a few of my favorites from the wedding.

Allen + Ashley

Yesterday I had an engagement session with Allen and Ashley. They left it up to me to come up with some fun and different images. I knew as soon as I saw what they were wearing that I was going to have fun. Check out a few of last nights images.

Briana's Bridals

Wow is about all I can say. I shot these a couple of days and I think I have taken the graffiti shots to an entirely new level! We pretty much invented the graffiti bridals and I haven't shot it for awhile because its just overdone, but this one was just incredible!! Of course it wouldn't have been as good without Briana. She made it look so hot! Check out a few of my favorites!

Back From NYC

After a very fun week in New York/New Jersey Derek and I are back home and getting ourselves caught up with everything that got backed up while we were away. Get ready to see a ton of new posts and some fun images from New York and a few amazing images from the wedding we shot with David Salomone while we were there! Here are a few shots from the top of the Empire State Building. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. While we were walking around we ran into a bunch of celebs selling hot dogs on the street. I grabbed a few shots of Gene Simmons, Donald Trump and a few others that were hanging around.

If you watch Family Jewels on AandE, this is a classic Gene Simmons pose.

DonorsChoose.org

I am constantly on the look out for amazing organizations to donate to and help out when they are in need. Yesterday I came across this amazing .org that helps local schools and teachers get funding for projects for their classrooms. After looking at all of the projects in Utah, this is the one that I wanted to help fund. I created a registry that you can click on HERE or at the link on the top left.

I teach fourth grade in an Elementary School in the Public School system. In our study of science and social studies, the students are to identify different trees, plants animals, biomes, and clouds.

As each of these topics are addressed, it is hard to assess if the students are visualizing the objects that are being described.

Through the use of the cameras, students will be put into teams to take pictures of the different animals, plants and weather that we are discussing. After taking the photos, students will print them, mount them into a book, add their caption and explanation of the photos in preparation for their presentation of the world they have come to see through the camera activity.

Science will become more than pictures in a book, or a video seen on the television. Science will become real and a part of each students life.

Students will need three cameras and camera dock kit. The cost of this proposal is $514

fund all or part of this proposal

Nick + Loni

Derek and I had a great time photographing Nick and Loni's wedding yesterday. I was amazing to find out how long these two have been together. Their wedding was perfect and we were honored to be a part of it.

NEW POLL!

I just posted a new poll to the left. I want to know what type of photography you are more drawn too. I have notice that the trend in the state is changing to a much more lifestyle photography and we have been doing this for years now. What troubles me is that the industry is not following suit. Just look at the bridal mags and vendor books. They are trying to stay with the original conservative images and agenda rather then evolve in the direction that people are looking for. So after a little bit of thought, I started thinking that maybe I am totally wrong with my assumption. So please vote on the poll and let me know if I am totally out of my mind.
Thanks!

Chris & Ashley

On Monday Randy and I drove down to Provo and took some killer shots of Chris and Ashley. We had so much fun and we all had the potential of getting in a little trouble when we climbed on the roof of a store on main street. Check out a few of my favorites.
