A little while back I flew to Denver Colorado to shoot a wedding for Joey and Jessica and it was awesome! First off, if you're staying in Denver, stay at the
Curtis Hotel downtown. Every floor has a different theme ranging from horror movies to Speed Racer! And if you're traveling alone and need someone to play the Wii in the lobby or a board game they'll get an employee to play with you!
The day was packed from beginning to end with photos, food, more photos, more food, more photos, and ended with more food!
We started off with some getting ready and detail shots at the
Lionsgate Event Center. The girls did their hair and the guys played poker :) What a sweet set up this place has!
The ceremony was outside at the Dove House. Beautiful place! After the ceremony we did quick family and bride and groom shots before heading into the luncheon where they had their first dances and cut the cake. After the luncheon we headed over to their parents home for a VERY traditional ceremony in full traditional dress. It was so neat to see how different cultures celebrate weddings! Part of the ceremony was with the patriarchs and matriarchs throwing nuts (or a dried fruit?) into a blanket and however many Joey and Jessica caught symbolized how many children they’re going to have. All I can say is they’re going to need a BIG house!
Their families were SO NICE and made sure to keep everyone super well fed!
After all the ceremonies were over, all the friends headed out on the town for a final celebration.
